The fate of the two sisters

Barren as she was, Dream’s wife was only too happy to adopt Poetry and raise her with her husband, who, as usual, was caught up in his reveries and failed to comment. But, as the saying goes, “silence gives consent”, so it was assumed he didn’t object.
It was thus that Poetry came to live with them. She was very happy with both her foster parents, but she was especially fond of Dream.
It was quite a different picture, though, back in Poetry’s family home, where Silence was desolate and wholly incapable of discharging even his most elementary parental duties. Lonely and neglected, bare footed and bedraggled, his only remaining daughter, Prayer, would aimlessly go about the house, seeking warmth and affection even more than material comfort.
But no relief seemed to be forthcoming from any quarter. It was then that God, moved to compassion, as God is inclined to be, decided to adopt Prayer and take her into His House. It is said that Prayer was overwhelmed by joy at being reunited with her mother.
